![]() Mystic Carrion is willing to sell you the tool you need to save Oskar, the Torch of Revocation, but if you complete the side quest " Find Mystic Carrion's Servant" you can get it for free. He can be found to the southeast in the Lower City, in a building marked Philgrave’s Mansion. ![]() It appears Mystic Carrion has been in touch with Oskar, so you should head over to speak with him. Unlock it and head through, checking the chest for the letter within. When you finally make it to Oskar’s studio, you may perceive the east wall is a sliding wooden panel. This spell can be used repeatedly outside of combat and will eventually deal enough damage to destroy them, making it safe to proceed. The safest method of disposing of them is to stand far from them and pelt them with the Firebolt cantrip. They’ll thunderwave your characters if they get too close, and they’re resistant to several kinds of damage. From this point on, you’ll have to fight off several poltergeists, while staying away from the cursed skulls that appear periodically. Take the key off of Oskar then head out the double doors, and enter the doorway just to your west. Fight off the next group of poltergeists, then speak with Lady Jannath about Oskar’s condition. The double doors at the top of the stairs lead to Oskar and Lady Jannath’s room, where Oskar appears to be possessed. To find Oskar, head up the staircase to the right, battle the poltergeists, then ascend the other staircase to the right. Tarhun says he can’t stop you from investigating, so head inside. ![]() Speak to Tarhun Mnemosis standing outside to learn that there’s some odd commotion occurring inside the home. In the west side of the Lower City you’ll find Lady Jannath’s Estate. Whether or not you give him money, Oskar departs for Baldur’s Gate, bringing the first phase of this quest to an end.Īfter all this time, Oskar Fevras pops up again, this time in the Lower City. Once you’ve done this, you can speak to Oskar to let him know he’s free to go, though he may ask for some gold. If you persuade or intimidate him, he’ll lower the cost from 1000 gold to 600, but there's a chance he'll let you take Oskar off his hands for free. He offers to have his artist paint you a portrait, but you can intimidate, persuade, or simply pay him to let Oskar go free. Once you’ve accepted the quest, or even beforehand, you can speak to Brem, one of the denizens of the hideout.
