Kinger wins but runs off to go save Zooble anyway. A few moments later, after Jax refuses to save Zooble as they get carried by, Kinger and Gangle do rock-paper-scissors to see who will rescue Zooble. As of seeing The Gloink Queen, Kinger says, "An insect collection?" Gangle corrects him, and he gets startled by her again, screaming. Jax boings in after them.Īfter a bit of tumbling down a slide in the massive hole, they enter the Gloink Queen's nest. Kinger seems to get startled by Jax's appearance, and then tells them they found "The Zooble Hole." A few moments later, Jax throws a bowling ball at Kinger, in response, Kinger grabs Gangle, dragging her down the gaping massive hole with him. Gangle explains that they saw The Gloinks carry Zooble down there, and Kinger thanks her for the recap. Kinger forgets why they're there, saying he doesn't know what he's looking at. Later in the episode, Gangle and Kinger appear to be looking down at a hole, with Zooble distantly screaming. He gets startled when he sees Gangle, having forgotten she was there. Kinger gets paired up with Gangle to go save Zooble by Jax, which Kinger starts to gradually twitch violently. Pomni points out that it could mean it is more likely that an exit exists. Kinger compares Kaufmo and Pomni, saying she might be going insane too. Afterward, he starts explaining how he thinks Kaufmo has gone insane, saying he was rambling about an exit. A few moments later, he appears to be hiding in his Impenetrable Fortress, which gets stolen by the Gloinks. He comes up to them and asks if somebody said something about an insect collection. Kinger seems to stay in a pillow fort he calls his "Impenetrable Fortress." He comes out of it when Jax says that Kinger's been in the circus the longest out of them. This results in Kinger pushing over Gangle, breaking her comedy mask. Kinger is introduced in the beginning theme song, in which Pomni knocks Jax into Kinger. However, despite his crazed and cowardly nature, Kinger might have at least enough sanity to not abstract and is shown to have a brave and kind side to him, as shown when he was willing to save Zooble from the Gloinks. Kinger also seems to be interested in insects, since he is shown to ramble about an "insect collection" at times. Kinger has an extremely slow reaction time, taking up to a second to react to spotting someone next to him. He is implied to be absent-minded since he seems to often forget the fact that people are near him and are startled by them. He also seems to have gone crazy from his time in the circus, as shown when he starts acting randomly. Kinger is shown as erratic and paranoid, unable to commit acts of bravery. He wears a violet royal cloak with white fuzzy lining spotted with dark brown. ![]() He has cartoonish white hands detached from his body and two round realistic blue eyes unevenly placed on his face. Kinger is an alder wood-colored king chess piece. ![]() There are so many places that they are used in the school. In Pre-school and Kindergarten, there needs to be a smaller adult to child ratio. A paraprofessional may also be placed in a general education setting in the lower grades. For example, I co-teach math and ELA classes while my paraprofessional follows my students into science and social studies to ensure that they are getting all their necessary accommodations in those classes also.Ī para may work as a one-on-one to a student who needs it. The paras are going around with our students when we can not. I have also worked with some paras that are not striving to be teachers and enjoy having a fulfilling job with the same hours as their school-aged children. In my experience, a lot of paras are working towards their license, or are newly licensed and are trying to get their foot in the door. If you are unfamiliar, a paraprofessional is someone who works in your school, but usually is not a licensed teacher. ![]() Even if it is not officially our job responsibility, our paras are working with our students, and we want to make sure that they know what they are supposed to be doing so we tend to take this on. ![]() ParaprofessionalsĪs special education teachers, it tends to be our responsibility to guide a paraprofessional. That means that if you click the links and make a purchase I may receive compensation at no additional cost to you. Not all paraprofessionals will be in a position to use data collection forms during classroom instruction, but it still may be helpful to see the “big picture” of what we're all working towards (progress on goals). This post may contain affiliate links. student behavior charts, as well as checklists that can help paraprofessionals stay organized. Data Sheets and Checklists – Include forms that can be used to track student progress, such as IEP goals.Strategies for Behavior Management – This should include general strategies for managing behavior, an overview of behavior plans, and tips for avoiding power struggles.Strategies for Teaching Academic Skills – This should include general instructional strategies for teaching academic skills, as well as specific instructions for teaching students with disabilities.A prompt hierarchy chart is also helpful here to reinforce best practices for using prompting with students when providing instructional support.Be sure to leave space for note-taking, too! I like to also include an overview of the disability category codes (IDEA). Procedures for Working with Students with Disabilities – This should include specific instructions on how to work with students with various disabilities, as well as any behavioral interventions that may be necessary.Don't forget to include communication logs for all those important conversations that occur during the busy school day! You can also include any important medical information or allergies that the paraprofessional should be aware of. This way, if the paraprofessional needs to get in touch with a parent or guardian, they will have all of the necessary information at their fingertips. Students' Names and Contact Information – If you work with multiple students in a special education setting, it can be helpful to include a list of their names and contact information in the binder.Be sure to include any special instructions, such as days when there is lunch included or physical education class. This will help the paraprofessional understand the structure of the day and know what to expect. Classroom Schedule (daily, weekly) – Another important thing to include in your paraprofessional training binder is a schedule of the activities that take place in your classroom on a daily basis.Be sure to check out what's already provided by the special education program at the school district level. School Safety and Confidentiality Statement – Every support staff binder (paraprofessionals, assistant teachers or aides, substitute teachers) should include these important topics, but it doesn't mean you have to create them on your own. ![]() Another idea is to include the PURPOSE for each classroom area, i.e.: area designated for independent work systems or a distraction-free calm down corner. Classroom Layout and Expectations – This could include a diagram of the classroom, including where students with disabilities are placed, plus a list of the teacher's expectations for paraprofessionals.8 Things Every Paraprofessional Training Binder Should Include |
